Kranjska Gora, Slovenia
Duration of section: May 27 - June 1

Organizers: I. Klep and J. Cimprič

The section will also be held at Hotel Kompas and Hotel Larix, Kranjska Gora, Slovenia.

Concept of the meeting
The main theme of the section will be the interplay between functional analysis and real algebra. The morning sessions will be held jointly with other sections; our section will contribute some plenary speakers. The afternoon sessions will be held separately and will consist of several short talks.
The meeting will bring together about 25 mathematicians from

  • Real Algebra (sums of squares),
  • Functional Analysis (moment problems).
The subject of the meeting is the interplay of these different viewpoints of positive polynomials. The spirit will be similar to the 2005 Conference on Positive Polynomials in Luminy.
