The workshop will be held at the resort town of Kranjska Gora, which is the centre of activity of the Upper Sava Valley, one of the most breathtaking alpine valleys on the border of the Julian alps. Kranjska Gora (population 1,600) is a town and a municipality in north-west Slovenia, close to the Austrian and Italian borders.
The easiest way to come here is through the International Airport of Ljubljana. It has regular connections with some European cities (Paris, London, Zurich, Prague, etc., few times a day with Munich, Vienna and Frankfurt). The airport is situated at the main road Ljubljana-Kranjska gora, and it is about 80 kilometres and a little more than an hour's drive from Kranjska gora.
The accomodation for the conference will be available at the Hotel Kompas and the conference will take part at the Hotel Larix. Both hotels are located right in the centre of Kranjska gora. Each room in the Hotel Kompas comes with its own bathroom, balcony, TV with satellite channels, a direct-dial phone and internet. Both hotels have an indoor swimming pool, saunas, solarium, fitness centre, restaurants and an evening bar.

Public transport:
There is no good public transport connection from Ljubljana Airport to Kranjska Gora. The only possibilty is to go by bus from Ljubljana Airport to Kranj and then by bus from Kranj to Kranjska Gora.
